Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)

Established in 1961, the OECD is a club of "like-minded" nations that hope to achieve the highest sustainable economic growth and employment and to raise the standard of living in member countries. In addition, the OECD promotes financial stability for its member nations. It publishes 500 books a year, many periodicals, and statistical databases.

The Government Publications Library provides local access to OECD data in the following databases:

  • OECD Statistical Compendium---See the User Guide from Duke University Library for instructions on the use of this database. Information in the "Start" section of the guide is specific to Duke.
  • OECD Telecommunications Database
  • International Statistics Yearbook.

Note: Source OECD provides online access to selected statistics from the OECD, such as the data included in the OECD Telecommunications Database.
